Coconut Crack Bars - A quick fix for a sweet tooth
These bars are not at the top of the list for healthy foods, but in moderation will still beat out the alternatives and certainly help to drop the added unhealthy ingredients that come in pre-made snacks and candy bars.
Using only a few simple ingredients these can be made in just minutes and have a multitude of possibilities. The next go round here will involve some vegan dark chocolate melted over them and likely some chopped almonds mixed in to create a home made version of an Almond Joy. And yes, the bar without the additions tastes exactly like the core of a Mounds bar (with no discernible twinges of guilt for eating it).
I personally have plans to take one of these bars along for my next 2+ hour run at a slightly bigger size to get a quick carb and calorie boost without the cost of weighing me down. It will certainly have some almonds or other nut protein added to give that little extra boost to energy production.

We used Agave as our option as opposed to the Maple Syrup and the nutritional info will reflect this. There was also the size of the bars made. The bars were cut as about 1" by 1/2" rectangle sizes (making more servings with less impact due to fats and calories). Out of that comes roughly 14 bars.
So here goes! Hope you enjoy these and here is the nutritional info for one mini bar:
